Awesome 1965 Mustang Convertible
Pain staking restoration. This Mustang has been upgraded with a GT grill, GT fender badges, full factory instrumentation, Gt Wheel Style Wheels, and GT graphics on rocker panels. The body appears to be a solid metal body. It is not believed to be an actual GT car.
The tag shows an A code engine, which is a 4 bbl 289 CID V8. It is not a number matching car. The engine has been upgraded with Holley dual point throttle body injection and headers. Transmission is believed to be a C6 (square pan with corner cut off). The dual exhaust is factory type protruding through the proper area of the rear valance.
The car has power steering, power front disc brakes, functional AC, Center Console, refurbished interior, remote control drivers outside mirror, floor mats, AM radio, and an aftermarket sound system in glove box (may not be functional).
The convertible top has been replaced and is factory powered. It includes the parade boot. The headlights have been upgraded to LED. The radiator is aluminum. The paint is correct, Skylight blue, Code Y.
A roll bar and competition lap belts have been added. An auxiliary battery has been installed in the truck. The car includes a matching full size spare wheel, and jack assembly. A 1965 Mustang owners manual is in the glove box (may be reproduction).
Outside of possible minor leaks, the underside of the car is clean. This car is an excellent example of a proud restoration and ownership. This is an estimated $50-60,000 build.
