1967 Ford Mustang Fastback (GT trim) – I am the third owner of this vehicle which I purchased after a complete restoration which included a new Black lacquer paint job (much better than the original Calypso Blue), original 289 engine (rebuilt at resto) upgraded to an “A Code- Challenger Special (4V Holley 650 and Weiand manifold) and a new Toploader 4 Speed transmission to replace the original C4 automatic. Other improvements include: replaced Brushed Aluminum instrument bezel, remote oil filter, new 3 core radiator, new fuel tank, upgraded but appropriate and reversible sound system, rebuilt power steering unit with under 2K. As owner of this vehicle I have driven it routinely but not often since 2002 and have put less than 3,000 miles on it during that time. This garage kept car runs great and I would be comfortable driving it anywhere. It has won awards at local shows and is flat out a blast to drive.
Vitals: rebuilt 289 with under 5K on it – total vehicle mileage is 117K - new (at resto) highly desirable Toploader 4 speed transmission, Beautiful Gloss/Black lacquer paint job and perfect red GT trim, Dual exhaust with Flowmasters for the right sound, power steering, Goodyear Eagle GT tires with plenty of life in them, correct styled steel wheels and GT gas cap and Fog lamps on the grill. Except for the vent windows, chrome is in perfect shape. This car has been show ready throughout the time I have owned it and can be driven to any show anywhere right away. No leaks, idles perfect, no blue/black smoke from exhaust. Original glass. Fuel gauge does not work but I have a new fuel sending unit to replace the current one as well as a new oil pan, just to keep it looking perfect. Minor spot on the trunk deck under the paint, about the size of a pin head. No rust or other blemishes anywhere else on the entire car.
