For sale in our Chicago showroom is this very custom 1968 Ford Mustang. It started lift as a standard Mustang coupe, and now is anything but. The doors forward is all �68 material, but the rear has been massaged and adapted to the vision of the builder. The rear windshield and pillars were replaced with parts from a �99 mustang so the owner could have a rear window defrost. The trunk was taken from a similar year Mercury Cougar to have a longer trunk to hold more supplies for shows and road trips. Powering this one-off pony is a small block for 289 CID V8 through a modern 5-speed manual transmission. The vehicle fires right up without hesitation and will take you down any road you choose.
The car was coated in a vibrant red and dressed up in gold stripes to make this paint job really pop. The wheels are an OEM set from a newer Mustang and keep the nostalgia factor going while increasing driver feedback and style. The standard seatbelts were replaced with a 5 point harness attached to a roll bar increasing safety and holding you in the driving position. Guaranteed you will never find another mustang quite like this one.
