Try and find one in this condition at this price! Price is FIRM.
This is a rock solid rust free car. The floors, quarters, roof...everything like a brick house! This Mustangs chassis and body are solid, solid, solid and all metal, metal, metal!
1971 Mustang in yellow primer ready for paint. Floors, rockers, skin, hinges beyond description...excellent. 351 Cleveland with Holley dbl pumper and a big chrome magneto instead of distributor. Interior painted, sound proofing installed. Includes a custom cowl induction hood, brand new old stock Mach 1 grill, 4 sets of tail lights, 2 rear glass fast back windows! 4 brand new chrome Centerline wheels, 3 dash pads, 2 metal dash frames, 3 gauge clusters, 3 center consoles, new rear spoiler, new chin spoiler, all seats, carpet, used headliner (all black). 2 excellent wide Mickey Thompson street-strip rear tires. 3 gas caps; horse, mustang, and the hinged billet. 3 sets of trim. New old stock chrome bumpers. Too many extra parts to remember. Engine, transmission , headers, full exhaust and chrome tail pipes already installed.
Why for sale? I want an older car; 1920s-30s. I purchased this from the estate of a good friend who passed. He was a dirt track and drag race driver from the 1950's-60's. Master welder and engine builder. I heard this Cleveland build run 15 months ago. I do not know how to start it and shut it down; that big magneto and all. The magneto was rebuilt in Michigan 3 years ago. Steering is hooked up, front wheels are temp with temp rubber only 2 of the new AR wheels are on the back. 2 are not mounted. I noticed no springs or shocks up front. This horse had a 460 600hp build in it, my buddy tried to drive it around the block...scared a seasoned senior citizen ex racer enough to install the 351 build and an auto trans.
I know he had to make some motor mounts and cut driveshaft to fit; pretty sure he said it is a C4 trans. just before he passed. There is a title for a brand new dash pad for a 6cyl fastback. There is a registration for a Mach 1 and a dash pad with vin for that and he loved that black dash pad it was in his closet. The 6cyl was a wrecked car in Tenn the main car in this case was a Mach 1 from what he said. I sold a Mach1 hood that was blue last year it had been left outside and someone backed over it. The Mach 1 dash/vin is blue. Must see car and parts; The carb is elevated and the magneto is tall which explains the custom hood he made. I heard this motor. It sounded wicked awesome. Very cool car after paint and detail smalls reassembled. Knowing this fine man for 15 years the set-up is old school but right; wish I could answer for sure about brand of pistons, bearings, rear gears and on and on... cannot; but he did not skimp. I rolled it and the brakes worked. The gear selector did not not cause it to click into park...linkage maybe not connected. Comes with side glass as well...even some Grande side glass so you can use the mounts for roll down rear windows instead of Mach 1 fixed position. Just remembered front windshield cracked down middle maybe during towing; sucks. Also the ignition is not hooked up but comes with a nos tumbler, doors trunks, new keys to use and a box of keys one might fit tumbler in steering column! I'm sure I forgot some good and bad but no hurry to part, not desperate, just really want a Old, Oldie! It will need a front windshield; cracked during relocation.
