Sandersonís Customs and Conversions is a small company in Pilot Point, Texas that builds limited edition tribute cars which have the serious performance to back up their killer looks. For the 2007 model year, Sandersonís released 50 Eleanor tributes, just like the one you see here, through premier dealer OíMeara Ford of Thornton, Colorado.
The thing that sets Sandersonís apart from other specialty shops is the amount of quality and pride put into every vehicle they produce. Visually, this Mustangís familiar profile seamlessly incorporates a hand-molded body kit that begins with a custom valance that anchors custom grilles behind HID driving lamps, large, center-mount fog lights and mesh-lined brake ducts. Behind that valence, a KR-style hood flows to a tinted greenhouse thatís wedged between painted mirrors and Shelby-style pillar scoops. At the base of that glass, massaged fenders center prominent heat extractors in front of custom rockers, custom quarter gills and rowdy side-pipes. And at the back of the car, a custom valance frames tasteful fender caps and a mild deck spoiler above sequential taillights and a polished faux fuel filler.
Built as a turnkey package that backs a whole lot of show with a whole lot of go, this reliably engineered coupe mates Fordís stalwart, 4.6 liter mod motor with a full Saleen Speedlab Series IV performance upgrade.pushing 540hp That upgrade, beginning with BBK cold air induction and progressing through a polished, twin-screw supercharger, an integrated, long-runner intake and 2-stage water-to-air intercooling, twists big boost into solid horsepower. That horsepower flows through a factory 5-speed, which drives a rugged Ford 8.8-inch rear end that Sandersonís finished with sporty, 4.10 gears. That powertrain rolls in a Saleen-massaged suspension that features Saleen sway bars, factory power steering and fully adjustable Eibach Multi-Pro-R2 coil-overs. At the corners of those bones, two Baer EradiSpeed+2 calipers join two Ford calipers to squeeze a quartet of drilled and slotted rotors. Power pounds the pavement through Boss Motorsports blades, which spin 255/35ZR20 Michelin Pilot Super Sports in front of 275/35ZR20 Michelin Pilot Super Sports. And an aggressive soundtrack rumbles through Jet Hot-coated shorties and the aforementioned side-pipes.
Inside this super cool Mustang youíll find a tastefully upgraded cockpit thatís stocked with predictable Ford convenience. Factory buckets feature standard heat and power adjustment under leather, ďTribute SCTĒ branded covers. In front of those seats, a silver-trimmed dash balances factory telemetry, factory climate control and Sandersonís pushbutton ignition between small accessory gauges and crisp Audio System with hands free and NAV. . Beneath that dash, a factory console frames a B&M short-throw shifter. Opposite that island, factory door panels hang requisite power windows, power mirrors and power door locks above snazzy Sanderson sills. And the driver turns a leather-wrapped steering wheel around factory Cruise Control.
