For sale is a 1955 Ford Thunderbird with 31,500 original miles located in our Indianapolis showroom! One of the earliest collectibles among postwar cars, the two-seat T-Bird has, if anything, gained in popularity as the years have passed. This 1955 T-Bird went through a complete restoration back in the early 1980's, taken down to bare metal before being repainted. The owner has provided pictures showing the work that was completed during that restoration. The car was originally torch red with red and white interior but was repainted to Snowshoe White with a high quality lacquer paint that is beginning to show its age. The interior was also changed from its red and white original color scheme to what you see today with a nice black and white interior. According to the trim codes on the data plate, this was an early production car in 1955, the first year for the Thunderbirds. The engine is its original 292 CID V8, rated at 198 Horsepower, and mated to a 2 speed "Fordomatic" automatic transmission with 3.70 to 1 gearing in the rear end. This low mile 1955 Thunder bird is equipped with: AM Radio, Factory Hard Top, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Seats, Power Windows, Wide White Wall Tires, Factory Optional Back-Up Lights and Windshield Washers. Don't miss out on the opportunity to own a very low mile, early production 1955 Ford Thunderbird!
