Timmis Ford V-8 Roadsters are famous the world over, for their superb quality, beautiful overall appearance, and fine attention to detail. This particularly outstanding example, with construction started in the fall of 1970 and completion taking place in the spring of 1971, was the 2nd one built and is unique in having been designed to ride on a modern chassis, with modern steering and suspension and a modern power train. The finish is as smooth as glass and the performance and handling are impressive. This particular example completed a trip across the continent in 1973 and was subsequently passed through three generations of the same family, before eventually coming home, to the Timmis Motor Company, for the first time in approximately forty years. The original factory silver, black canvas top and interior are all still in great shape. The beautiful 14 inch Kelsey Hayes wire wheels are stunning and the original 1970 Firestone tires have hardly been broken in. The spare tire still has a paper tag on it and has never been run on the ground. This car was a one off, as Timmis Ford V-8 cars hand built before and after this one, were constructed to a completely different mechanical specification. This is a rare, totally unique, never to be repeated collector car with an amazing history. As with all Timmis Ford V-8 automobiles, the value will only keep on going up.
