1967 GMC 3500

This 1967 GMC 1 ton Dually Custom Car Hauler with running boards and visor was restored by me in 2001. This was a total “frame off” restoration. Solid frame was scraped, sanded, and painted. Cab got NEW fenders, bumper, radiator support, wheel wells, welded in rockers and backing plates, cab corners, and flooring where needed. All original parts were taken down to bare metal and primed with 2-part primer. New sheet metal was sanded thoroughly and primed with same. All body parts were primed with 2 coats, sanded, and painted with 4 coats of Sherwin Williams premium automotive 2-part acrylic enamel inside and out. Color is “plum crazy” (1970 dodge challenger). Drive train is a remanufactured 350 CID (9:1) for a 1976 Vette, rebuilt manual 4 speed transmission (rock crusher) and a rebuilt rear end with a 342 gear. The 350 has New Holley 600, Edelbrock intake, Accel ign. wires, alternator, belts,water pump, hoses, 4 core radiator,mounts, and more. Air conditioning is from “Old Air”with electric condenser fan and works great! Headers are reconditioned with new mufflers, aluminized pipe, and chrome stacks. Trans has NEW clutch kit and rear has NEW bearings and gears. Front suspension has been overhauled with New tie rods, upper/ lower control arm bushings and shafts, sway bar bushings,and more. New Front Disc Brake Kit installed and New rear drums, wheel cylinders, springs, and shoes. Tires are NEW with stainless steel wheel cover inserts. The interior has a 60/40 bench seat from a 2002 Dodge pickup. Factory tach and guage instrument cluster, map lights,and an Am/FM CD player with 4 speakers. New carpet. Flatbed is of 5/16 steel plate with heavy aluminum “Diamond Brite” covering. Stored ramps that roll out for easy use. New is at time of restore.
