1957 Jaguar Mark 1

1957 Jaguar Mark I sedan. This very similar to the Mark II but with the smaller window. Disk Brakes and Overdrive conversions. This car was in the midst of a restoration but was stopped. COMPLETE CAR - the trim glass complete but are not assembled. The engine, trans, and axles etc. are all assembled, this is a rolling vehicle that would be easy to transport. Current NON-OP registration.

The body work was done by a local pro in San Mateo but was left unfinished. Rust repaired and body work was completed and looked good, just needed a good paint job. Engine was running prior to starting the project, and may have had a recent rebuild. Registration is current, it's on Non-op. My understanding is this has the larger engine of the same make and vintage, I have not checked the numbers. It also has a manual with aftermarket overdrive.

Selling because Dad passed on and took all know-how with him. No more room - must sell ASAP. This is a great opportunity to obtain a MK1 Jag with potential. Lots of documentation and spare parts come with the car, as well as specialty tools. This car has been in the family since 1977 when he became a 'family man' and the xk140 wasn't big enough. He was a mechanical engineer and did all his own work on these cars since he bought the XK in the late 60's (that was already sold).
