1958 Jaguar XK150 Roadster

Award winning Jaguar XK150 Roadster (1958) fully restored to an exceptional standard.

This magnificent example of a Jaguar XK150 Roadster has been fully restored to a fine standard with meticulous attention to original detail.

Boasting a six cylinder 3.4 litre engine with 210 bhp at 5500rpm, this high performance classic car includes twin 1.75 inch SU HD6 carburettors and four-wheel Dunlop 12 inch disc brakes.

This left-hand drive (LHD) model was shipped from California to England in 1992 where it underwent an 8 year restoration.

The XK150’s bodywork was built by Contour Autocraft (with the exception of the bonnet and boot), working to the original specification using the original jigs and patterns from the Jaguar Browns Lane plant. The car will stand up to any professional inspection by those with knowledge of the XK150.

The rich red paintwork draws attention to the elongated, curvaceous bodywork and is complimented by stunning red leather trim and upholstery which was undertaken by MCT (Mic Turley) arguably the foremost UK Jaguar trimmer, again using original patterns from Jaguar.

This outstanding example has won the JDC Concourse d'Elegance competition in 2000 and 2001 and was also a finalist in the Auto Glym competition of 2001. It has also appeared on the Discovery Channel, 'A Car is Reborn' television series. See a video of the Jaguar Roadster on this Youtube clip

A number of modifications have been carried out to make the XK150 Roadster more driver-friendly. Power steering, electronic ignition and an electric cooling fan have been added, alongside highly effective Coopercraft brakes and a modern alternator. In addition, a stainless steel exhaust system has been added, with all original parts kept if required.

A rare set of luggage cases and the original complete tool kit are also included in the sale.
