1954 Jeep Army/Military M170 Ambulance |
1954 M170 JEEP Front Line Ambulance Very Rare! Only 4,000 made between 1954 – 1963 After their decommission, most of those were shipped out of the country to NATO or to Lend Lease Program Countries Very few complete examples in existence in U.S. Only 2 or 3 restored to this level Was used to carry 3 litters, driver and medic. Litters and litter hardware can be easily removed in 10 min. resulting in a comfy-riding, long wheelbase Jeep with seating for 4. This M170 was completely disassembled and restored from the frame up by a veteran over a 3 year period between 1996-1999 (Sadly, he passed away shortly after finishing the project). No item was missed – he even put in all new OEM nuts and bolts. The following is a partial list of what was done.
