1963 Jeep Willys |
|
a very rare model for the old square fender jeep pick-ups. this is a '63, the last year they made these trucks and the first year for the tornado I6 OHC engine. technically a keiser-jeep though i havn't found that name anywhere in the rig. the body, frame, drive train is in fantastic condition with no real rust to speak of, pretty sure the bed is origional but has been reinforced to accomodate a duel piston dump system (form and function!), beyond that modification everything else appears to be original. brakes have been redone all the way around. the pics show it without the front grill, which came out for the engine rebuild, it is the same color but has white horizontal cross members. she is an odd color but the trucks true style overshadows it. this is a real classic and a head turner for sure. I am selling just what you see here plus the grill, the engine is still being worked on and has drained my bank account, I just won't have the money to get her finished on a resonable schedule, sadly I never even got to drive her! I believe I am only her third owner. a great project if you want to drop a newer engine in, I would also be open to discussion on finishing the rebuild on the original engine which is over half way done and worked on by a proffessional. I love this truck and am sad to write this posting, to a good home please! |
