1954 Kaiser Darrin

Brighton Motorsports is pleased to present this rare and unique 1954 Kaiser Darrin Roadster. This car was repainted in light blue decades ago. The original color is pale yellow and the interior is white. This would be a fantastic project for a Kaiser enthusiast. The car drives great and wouldn’t need much work on the mechanical side. It has most of its parts with it so there won’t have to be any near impossible searches for parts. We have a relationship with the Kaiser Darrin club so if there is a need for a part, we could provide a contact. There were only 435 of these models built, all in 1954. According to the current registry, 412 of these neat cars survive. This was the first fiberglass American car to market, beating the Corvette by a month. The most unique feature has to be the doors, their patented design allows them to slide into front fender – like a pocket door. It was popular amongst the Hollywood set, with Lucille Ball and Carey Grant owning Kaisers. The top is complete and can be set in three positions. There has been a recent spike in prices on these cars with 3 of them selling at recent auctions for over $100k. We were planning to restore it ourselves but the wait to get into the shop is too long.
