1953 Lincoln Cosmopolitian
This car is the 50th anniversary edition of the Ford Motor Company with dash badges. I have owned this car for 30 some years and am the second owner, it has only a bit over 5000 original miles but has been in the weather and sun. It has mostly been sitting outdoors and needs total restoration but I bet with a little work and a new battery you could get it started. It does have a new set of tires ( replacing the originals which dry rotted). It is completely original and has all parts. Clear title.
The car was purchased new by an elderly lady who died after a few years if owning the car. I found it sitting outdoors and unused in the early seventies. I knocked on a door and bought the car. With a little work on the brakes I had it running. I didn't drive it much because the gas tank had rusted from sitting and rust kept getting sucked into the carburetor. However, when you drove it the car had a solid feel because with so few miles the undercarriage had never been worn out. Other than getting the car running a bit I never got around to a restoration. I got into sailboats and the car has set outdoors in Southern Virginia. It time for an owner that will fix her up.
This vintage Lincoln is from the days when Lincolns owned the top finish places in the Mexican Road Race. SOLD
