Stk. 1208 1940 Lincoln Zephyr
The 1940 Lincoln Zephyr Series 06iH was the best built to date. Though it looked much like the 1939, it boasted a brand new unit body/chassis without running boards, which allowed the body sides to move outward for a significant gain in seat width. Other features the '40 could boast about were sealed beam headlamps; larger windows; bigger trunk with the spare on the floor; a more conventional dash; and a column-mounted gearshift with the instrument dial placed directly in front of the steering wheel. Our offering is a stunning, fully restored club coupe, purchased just a couple of years ago at the Barrett Jackson auction. Its striking black paint eloquently compliments the correct Mohair tan interior. To emphasize the care that has been taken with this luxurious coupe, the factory installed radio and cloth still work. Under the hood, power is provided by the original V-12 flathead with 292 cubic inches producing 120 hp. This desirable semi-fastback Zephyr was admired in 1940, is still admired today, and will be for years to come.
