1980  MG  MGB

One of the most popular sports cars of all time, the MGB was and is THE greatest British sports car ever. When introduced in 1963, the MGB was a dramatic change from its predecessor, the MGA. The B was an all new design and it was an instant success. The car is a great example of this seminal sports car, 1980 series, and the last produced before the factory closer. In holding with the exact factory colors, the exterior is Russet brown #BLVC205 and the interior is black #220-575. The body is sound and no rust (see side panel and top shots), and all chrome is brilliant. The body and paint reflects some normal dings, which I have tried to show in the up-close pictures.

The inside looks absolutely beautiful, with all new instrumentations functional, new burlwood dash, door panel and kick panels, new sound proof carpeting, AM/FM Radio with cassette player and rear speakers, dash-top pad covers, all new seats and tracks, sun visors, and windshield washers, all electrical system reworked, includes head-lights, hazard lights, running lights, reverse lights, and trunk lights. Mechanically the car is awesome, the transmission shifts exceptionally smooth, and is one of the best driving MGBs I have had the pleasure to drive. This car is both a Street-Car and a Show-Car.

The engine is 4 Cylinder Inline 90HP with overdrive, Petronix ignition system with 40K coil, Main-Jet Needle carburetor, intermittent reverse engine blower/cooler, new alternator and battery, timing gear, engine mounts, gaskets throughout, new plugs, polished alloy valve covers, oil-heat filter, new clutch slave valve, new front and rear brakes and W/W tires with chrome rims, spare tire with cover and jack, fire extinguisher, and A/C is available and included (see pictures), but not installed. It has 23,913 miles, but 731 since restoration. The picture of the dashboard is with the engine running to show instrument functionality, to show odometer dwell, and oil pressure reading.

The car runs and drives flawlessly and is a bit more sporty than the average MGB. The engine bay and trunk are spotless, with the exception of the trunk lid shows a small depression (see pictures). New convertible top with a zippered rear window and tonneau cover, factory Rostyle wheels, hood and trunk gas-struts.

There are a lot of MG’s on the market today. Please observe closely at the photos, as this is not your normal MGB. This is a great restoration and drives like a classic car of that era. Every effort has been made, in restoration, to maintain the original manufactures specifications. Always bear in mind that this is a 26-year-old classic automobile. The car has been removed from storage and is available for inspection at my residence. Email for address.

The title is in my name, it is clear and ready to be notarized to the new owner. All payments must clear before the car and title are transferred. A $500 deposit will need to be made within 48 hours of purchase. Full payment is expected within 7 days of purchase. The buyer can pick up the car at their convenience.
