...Titled as a TF 1500....engine plate is a 1250 XPAG. Legally a 1500, clearly with a 1250 engine...so...a 1250?
Anyway, last owner for 18 years, incredibly solid body, near perfect wood, no rot, excellent sheet metal...paint flaking off at spots but NO bubbles. Couldn't find the slightest spot of bondo anywhere. NONE. And it is either original paint OR this car was stripped to the bare metal 'cause wherever there is flaking, it is down to bare sheet metal.
Runs well, excellent oil pressure, no smoke, all gauges work, seems to have been rewired, v.g. top and side curtains, good tonneau, very good interior (in vinyl), wire wheels, good chrome throughout, A VERY NICE ORIGINAL CAR that might, in fact, be an 'older restoration.'
Dunno.
Work we have done: rebuilt front shocks, disassemble and repaint exterior, new rubber seals and gaskets, engine bay detailing, brakes rebuilt, other odds and ends. Nowdone, its a really good original TF that must have been garaged most or all of its life judging from the condition of the wood underneath, the body mounts, and chassis....all of which look to be in fine condition.
