1983 Mercedes 300D Turbo Diesel |
| 239,000 miles- body and engine in great shape. Have been running on a 50-50 mix of petrol and bio diesel the last 25K miles. The turbocharger does not work well. Needs new one. Acceleration, of course, is sluggish. Tires, battery, mp3 cd player, braking system, fuel system all new. Automatic Transmission leaks. Needs to be checked weekly. Slips a bit in second when cold. Oil pan leaks. Goes through about half a quart per 1,500 miles. Otherwise, an awesome vehicle for someone who doesn't mind keeping an eye on the vitals and doing a little maintenance from time to time. |
