1967 Mercury Comet $20,900 OBO – Dunlap, TN

The 1967 Mercury Comet has become quite popular as of recent years. The midsize, sporty look and big block engines just fit the bill for 60’s muscle car enthusiasts. Seldom do you see a car of this age as original, solid and with no signs of any kind of abuse, as this one.

Floor pans and body components look to be all original and are smooth, straight and with no signs of rust anywhere, body gaps are good and doors close as they should. Chrome bumpers and all the other bright work, including grill, look practically new. Paint has a high gloss mirror like finish. The hood with its two scoops, body side stripes and magnum 500 wheels complete the Comets original good looks.

The interior looks almost new while maintaining the original door panels, carpet, headliner and dash. Seats have been reupholstered and look new also.

This Comet is “H code” meaning it came from the factory with the 390 CI engine. Engine bay is neat, clean and everything is in order, chrome valve covers, breathers and master cylinder cover dress the engine up without over doing it. The aluminum Eldebrock intake with the Holley dual line 4 barrel shows this car means business.

The transmission is a C-6 automatic. The brakes are drum on all corners and in good condition. Other options include A/C, power steering, tinted windows and an AM/FM cassette player.

Trunk looks original and especially nice with what looks to be factory paint, factory trunk mat and spare tire with jack in correct place. Factory sticker remains on trunk for tire changes.
