1940 Mercury Convertible, 50’s Custom with Factory Fold Top.
ISCA CLASS CHAMPION
Lazer straight all steel body which was taken to metal, epoxy coated and refinished in PPG Deltron Black in 1998. Frame was stripped and finished and is in excellent condition.
All body stainless and chrome is in excellent condition. Bumpers re-chromed. Many N.O.S. parts including, grill, (in show chrome), headlight doors, taillights, door and trunk handles, running boards, steel fender skirts, Appleton dummy spotlights, Cadillac Sombrero caps, ( in show chrome).
Perfect running original Flat Head with less than 10k on rebuild. 3 speed on the column. Rare Columbia 2 speed rear end with vacuum shift, operating manuals included. Non split wishbone, 4in. dropped axle, lowered rear suspension. New dual exhaust.
Under hood is highly detailed including “Old School” firewall pin stripping. New fuel tank. 6 volt system.
Interior by Gary, (The Mad Pleater), Benway. Rolled, pleated, in blue and white. Beautiful original dashboard which has been pinstriped. All working gauges, new original wiring harness. White folding top originally installed in the 1960’s.
