1957 Mercury Monterey 2 door sedan. SURVIVOR CAR! ONLY 44,000 ORIGINAL MILES! These "single headlight" 57' Mercurys are getting hard to find. This example was built in Los Angeles, California and sold new to a lady in Oregon. It was then purchase by Patricia Mecum (also or Oregon) about 15 years ago as a "weekend classic car". It was then purchased by Jim Mueller (a Mercury collector in Florida) a couple of years ago. Jim Mueller stated that within the last 6 months that he had the tires replaced, a full mechanical tune-up performed, a few places "spotted in" where there were chips and nicks and one place repaired on the curbside rocker where there was a 2 inch curb dent. Other than that, the car has all of it's ORIGINAL PAINT and NO RUST. The engine has never been apart that we know of. It uses no oil and needs no mechanical work. Options include a 312 V-8 motor (255 HP, 4 barrel), PUSH-BUTTON MERCOMATIC AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, original AM radio, original clock, padded dash, spare, jack and much more.
