Introduced in 1961 as the top trim level in Oldsmobile’s compact F-85 line, over the years the Cutlass name accumulated great brand equity, and became one of the most popular nameplates in the industry in the 1970s. For 1972, there were minor style changes to the Cutlass for sale. The 4-4-2 reverted to being a trim line (W-29 option) on the Cutlass instead of an individual model, as it was in 1971 but the major ascetic changes were the front grilles and the tail lights giving it a more aerodynamic and aggressive appearance. Now this Cutlass has a story to it to beat all. The odometer has only rolled over 9,100 times since 1972. The car sat in Eagle Lake, Texas in storage for 34+ years before seeing daylight again. All original Texas survivor with no rust or dents.
