During The 1940 Model Year Oldsmobile Turned Out Its One Millionth Car And That Just Happened To Be A Series 90 Custom Cruiser Sedan!
The Four Door, Sometimes Called Touring Sedan, Featured A Semi-Notchback Profile, Blanked Out Rear Quarters, And Vent Windows In The Front Hinged Rear Doors. This Did Away With The So-Called Suicide Doors On The 60 And 70 Sedans.
This Stylish Vehicle Had The ‘Custom Cruiser’ Insignia On The Dashboard Along With The Hydra-Matic Drive Designation.
This Was The First Year For Oldsmobile To Introduce The Hydr-Matic Automatic Transmission.
In Addition A Deluxe Steering Wheel Was A Standard Feature Along With A Walnut Grain Dash.
Under The Hood Sits A Smooth Running 257 CID Flat Head In Line Eight Cylinder Engine Rated At 110 Horse Power With A Very Nice Detail Of Engine Compartment.
