1950 Packard Super Eight 

1950 PACKARD SUPER EIGHT

Engine: 288ci, 135 hp flathead straight 8
Transmission: Ultramatic

Solid body and frame, good black paint ( a few small paint bubbles) and good correct chrome intact. No rust through anywhere. Trunk and gas tank coated with POR15. Fulton sun visor and cormorant bird hood ornament. Newer H78-15 wide whitewalls have only been driven a few thousand miles. Newer complete brakes, and newer battery. Gas tank and fuel sending unit refurbished. Carburetor rebuilt as well as exhaust manifold refurbished. Auxiliary electric fuel pump with on/off switch under dash.

Wipers work intermittently, needs the vacuum motor rebuilt. Radio inoperable.

Previous owner stated the engine had been rebuilt at about 20,000 miles (cannot substantiate). I purchased the Packard at 23,000 and put on another 2000 miles in dry, summer driving. Stored winters.
