This beautiful “A” body 1967 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible is in awesome condition and is fully restored to its original splendor. This is a NUMBERS MATCHING car!! There were around 62,000 Barracudas sold in 1967 and of these only 4,228 were Convertibles! According to a Galen Govier Report when I purchased the car in 2007, this car was only 1 of 64 on the Chrysler Registry! (check www.gvgovier.com). Best yet, only 62,000 ORIGINAL MILES! Wow!
Specs that I know: This 2-door rare beauty is coated in bright Rally Red paint and has a great shiny finish. There are some minor scratches here and there that can easily be addressed but NO RUST will be found on this frame. The body is laser straight with everything being nice and solid. The chrome is all in great condition and has a really awesome shine. That classic split grill utilizes all the correct trim and is also in great shape. A lot of times you will see these classics with missing emblems but this classic has them all in place and cleanly mounted. The hood has the correct grills which are similar to the style you find on vintage Chevelles. All of the glass is in good shape. The car has a great stance and rides on a set of Radial G/T tires with highly desirable CRAGAR S/S Super Sport wheels. I do have the original rims that came on the car too! Powering up this classic muscle car is the rare little V8 273 Commando engine, 210 hp. The rear end is 7 1/4 posi and has a 904 transmission. Performance indicator tachometers add a nice touch!Note: Engine has not been detailed.
The interior on this car is in just as beautiful condition as the rest. The Pearl White vinyl looks great next to all that red and is very comfortable with its bucket seats. Really nice black loop carpeting with no tears or wear. The interior was restored by Harrison’s Upholstery in Yreka, California and all body and paint work was done by Fairlane Auto Body in Yreka, California. All of the trim as well as the door handles, etc. are in perfect shape and have an awesome shine. The front dash plate has been upgraded to a snazzy black finish but I do still have the original dash plate for you. The radio has been replaced but I also have the original AM radio if you want to put that back in place. The electric power top raises and lowers with no problems and is in great shape. It is all power assisted so it can be done by one person with no issue. The steering wheel has been replaced with a racey Grant steering wheel with MOPAR horn button….but again, I have the original steering wheel if you want to put it back. I have new Mopar floor mats that really look nice in it too!
I have the clear title and have been showing this car at classic car shows in Arizona for the past 3 1/2 years. This Barracuda is a true winner, regularly getting BEST MOPAR, BEST CONVERTIBLE, BEST “A” BODY, and even BEST PLYMOUTH, for a total of 25 Top Awards!
