Up for sale is one awesome wagon, the 1964 Plymouth Belvedere. The Plymouth Belvedere for sale is an American made car that was produced by Plymouth from 1954 to 1970. With a 16 year span, I guess you can say it was pretty successful. This particular model came from Detroit Motor city as a 6 cylinder, but the owners had different ideas for this shagging wagon! The 1964 Belvedere is also notable for being the car used to introduce the 426 Chrysler Hemi engine, which used a canted large-valve arrangement. This was such a significant high-RPM breathing improvement that Hemi-equipped Plymouth Belvederes won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd at NASCAR's 1964 Daytona race. One of the winning drivers was the famous Richard Petty. NASCAR decided that Mopar had too much of an advantage and they needed to downsize their engine, so we have the birth of the almighty 426 C.I.D Wedge big block V8. Not to be confused with the 426 Hemi, the 426 cu in engine was a wedge-head RB block with a 4.25 in bore. The 426 Wedge served as Chrysler's main performance engine until the introduction of the 426 MAX Wedge which served to be even more monstrous than the HEMI. This iconic engine paired with the 3 speed torque flite push button transmission makes for an amazing cruiser, especially having all that power in a station wagon. Covered in Oxford white paint with a untouched two tone blue bench seat style interior, this is the ultimate pissed off cream puff. Options on one of baddest wagons you will ever see include: A/C, am radio, power steering, seatbelts and aluminum alloy wheels wrapped in radial tires.
