For Sale in our Chicago showroom is a 1997 Plymouth Prowler with matching trailer. The Prowler was first created as a concept car in 1993 and unveiled to the public with enough popularity to go into production. Designers for Daimler Chrysler were given free rein to design and create a modern day Hot Rod and what a job they did. With only 11,702 models produced up until 2002 these head-turning automobiles are fun as well as collectible. 1997 saw the birth of the Prowler and just 457 production models were made all painted in the same Prowler Purple Metallic. Optional features included a color-matched trailer which was a $5,000 option back in 1997. Having traveled less than 1,500 miles since new this car is as nice as the day it was delivered from the showroom floor. The original 3.5 Liter SOHC V6 produces 214 Horsepower is backed by a 4 Speed automatic transmission with Autostick. This V6 was no slouch and thanks to the aluminum construction of the Prowler was able to propel the car from 0-62 in 7.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 118 MPH. Options on this vehicle include power steering, power brakes, alloy wheels, black cloth soft top, AM/FM stereo with CD changer, leather seating surfaces, leather wrapped steering wheel, Autometer tachometer, matching trailer with luggage package and towing kit.
