1978 Pontiac Macho Trans Am

This is a 1978 Trans Am MACHO TA #135 out of Mecham Performance, for those that are not familiar with this rare bird here is a little history: in 1977 Dennis and Kyle Mecham (DKM) had the idea of getting the stock Trans Ams sold at their father�s dealership in Glendale, Az. and turn them into fast machines, something similar to what Hennessey does this days. In 1978 they made only 203 Macho TA and this one happens to be #135 . This car has been in Arizona it's entire life and is a 2 owner car! This car came out of the GM factory in (19 code) Starlight Black and as part of the "Macho" appearance it received a lower second tone stripe in Solar Gold. This vehicle under went a frame off restoration approx. 4 years ago and the gorgeous exterior paint was just completed in August 2015 along with color match roll bar and the seats were reupholstered with the OEM Lombardy velour material in April 2015! This car is stunning and I have listed options sheet for viewing along with Mecham paperwork. This meticulously restored vehicle lead Dennis Mecham himself to sign the Dash as shown in pics just this year at a Macho T/A reunion in Kaysville Utah where this car was awarded best restored of the show!!
