This is a perfect example of a PHS certified 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. In 1979 Pontiac Firebirds added to their sporty performance image with a distinctive new front and rear appearance and a revised engine line-up with a special Trans Am performance package that offered the 6.6 liter (403ci) V8 four barrel known as the L80 option. The engine was rebuilt a few of years ago and puts ample power to the rebuilt turbo 350 transmission that shifts clean and crisp with the help of a factory torque converter. The Solar Gold (50) paint was redone a couple of years ago as well and stands tall. The interior is Lombardy II and Hobnail cloth in a camel tan color and is nearly flawless. The grill has a horizontal pattern integrated into the bumper and four rectangular headlamps are recessed individually in the front end panel. The tail lamps feature the black lens appearance across the entire rear which turns red when the lights are activated. Body-colored hood scoops and sport mirrors as well as the black reveal moldings on the windshield and backlight enhance the look. The long list of factory options on this car include 225/70R15 tires, custom air conditioning (not working), heavy duty battery, custom color keyed belts, cruise control, remote controlled deck lid release, soft ray tinted glass, door edge guards, lamp group, floor mats, RH visor vanity mirror, power locks, power windows, super cooling radiator, AM/FM 8 track player (comes with am/fm cassette player), tilt steering wheel, cast aluminum rims, controlled cycle windshield wipers and custom velour trim.
