1976 Pontiac Trans Am (50th Anniversary of Pontiac) 1 owner 35,000 mile all original never touched car. This car has been garaged since 1980 only running a few times since then. 6.6 Liter 400 Big Block Quadrojet, 4 barrel, Turbo 350, Auto. Transmission, Power Disc Brakes, Air Conditioning, Tilt Wheel, Am Radio, 10 Bolt Posi Rear End with Sway Bar. RARE Golden Rod Yellow Outside with Buckskin interior. The last year of the more aggressive looking single headlight front end. A beautiful shaker hood that looks complete & original. Opening the hood reveals complete original components down to the hoses. You just don’t find them like this anymore. Usually a lot of the vacuum hoses & other original components have been eliminated or replaced. This car will need to be repainted due to surface rust on lower part of car. There is no rot or rust there other than a small spot on the very bottom left quarter and it is very minimal. This would be an easy car to do body wise. The doors open and close nice. The front spoiler is broke but you can buy these new yet. Drivetrain wise we didn’t try to start the engine as we know it will need the fuel system cleaned and the carb rebuilt. We pulled all the plugs and put JB 80 in the cylinders and turned the engine over by hand. This engine will need to be pulled and freshened. I would never except it to perform as designed after sitting all those years. Transmission could be just resealed and serviced and would be fine. If you are one of those that can do a lot of their own work this car would be a dream to work on. Interior is very nice except, I would probably put new carpet in. The headliner is loose on both sides but an easy fix. Dash pad is not cracked but is faded just on the top. The console is nice except the lid in back is missing. Overall interior is nice. If you are looking for a RARE color Trans Am that’s never been hot Rodded or messed with and don’t mind doing some work this is the perfect car. These original all numbers matching cars will always be worth more than the others. I did not look for a build sheet but I’m sure it’s there. I purchased this car from the wife of the original owner who was killed in the 80’s from a grain bin accident. I am a Mopar person but recognize a nice piece no matter the brand. I would consider a partial mopar trade and cash. I am asking 7,900.00 for this car but cash talks. I see these Trans Am’s rising in value all the time and one at Mecum Auction in December brought $34,250.00. You would certainly have a lot less into this one than that done.
