1923 Rolls Royce 20hp Tourer For sale
Chassis Number 83K7 Engine 9550
Current on NSW Historic Club plates (not transferable)
First time on Market, having been in our family for some 35 years, this very early example of the 20hp with 2 wheel brakes, is largely maintained in authentic equipment condition. The "grey" 20 was restored around 1978 although the engine bottom end was rebuilt in more recent years. The engine runs excellent compression and performs very well, and will regularly start "off the switch". The three speed gearbox is as expected precise and quite, as is the differential.
The engine has Coil ignition and full flow oil filter has been added. Equipped with klaxton type Horn and operational and reliable Vac Tank is in use. The car has original lights and side fittings.
There is a full Instrument panel including gradient meter, clock etc, controls and switches are original. Fitted with a motoring rear trunk and towbar for touring with a trailer. Overall the car is in good mechanical condition, and all working equipment. There is additional under seat equipment storage and tool boxes fitted for touring.
The car is finished in Grey over black, with grey interior leather seats and trim, with an unusual "folding - camping" seat arrangement. The overall paint presents well and is in decent condition for a well maintained car. The hood and full set wet weather side curtains are in near new condition. Radiator Louvers are not fitted, (uncompleted paint) but included. The radiator has been recently cleaned, and polished after a small repair, the engine runs cool.
The car drives beautifully and is a great club rally or touring car. This car has been in our family a long time and has given many pleasurable rallies and driving experiences.
The car is located nearby GOSFORD NSW Australia and is available for inspection and test drive by arrangement.
