Thank you for considering this excellent #2 condition 49' Rolls Royce. Bodied by Hooper as a Limo, Chassis # WDC64 was first sold to the High Commissioner of India. To this day the car has seen 4 total owners and remains in its original color combination of Black over Beige. A thorough restoration was completed 15 years ago, and has held up very nicely. During the restoration the car received a complete strip and re-paints, rebuilt mechanical aspects for the engine, transmission and running gear. The interior received a complete restoration as well with re-finished wood, new correct carpets and hides on the seats. While the interior is nearly flawless throughout, the only minor area to be mentioned is that of a 6” seem that has become slightly undone, simple fix. Otherwise, the wood is in show quality condition with no inconsistencies and all fixtures are present and correct. With that the only interior fixture not in working order is one interior dome light and electronic switch for the division window. The exterior is very straight, excellent trunk, bonnet, and door gaps. The paint was done very well and shows as a #2 quality car with no waviness, very straight body and no history of prior accidents. The coachwork is impeccable with no door sag whatsoever. The bright work is perfect and all of it has been completely restored to a very high standard. The engine bay is tidy but could use a solid detail to match the rest of the car. All of the wiring appears correct and is in proper working order. The Glass is fade free, crack free and appears to be original. All rubber components including tires are free of any dry rot. The undercarriage is very consistent but does show that the car has been driven, no rust or rot whatsoever, surely shows that of a restored car. To be consistent with the rest of the car, a detail is in order for the undercarriage, as well as the engine bay. The car runs, drives and stops without any hesitation or issues. The sale will include: detailed RR Ownership and Factory Order Files showing detailed history, reproduction service handbook, and spare wheel. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a very well restored example of the Rolls Royce Silver Wraith.
