1969 Shelby GT 350
LOOK AT THIS 1969 SHELBY GT 350 PROJECT!
Here is an early 1969 Shelby GT350 that needs completion of its restoration. This car will be a show stopping and very valuable vehicle when done. The serial number is 9F02M480339 and is listed in the Shelby registry. Originally pastel Gray with a blue stripe, and black interior, this car sports a 351 Windsor engine backed by a FMX transmission. Other options include Air conditioning, Power Steering, Power brakes, and Tilt Steering Wheel. The car has original Shelby wheels.
The car has been on the rotisserie and stripped to bare metal. It’s currently in Dupont “Vari Prime.” A mustang restoration shop estimated that more than forty thousand dollars worth of body repair has already been expertly completed. A donor car was located in Arizona for the needed body panels. Both rear quarter panels have been replaced, along with the right hand door jamb, both doors, both door hinge areas underneath the cowl vent, right hand trunk floor. And the cowl vent was removed, cleaned and painted.
The car needs its’ seams caulked, rubber seals for the body, interior installed, rear window louvers, paint, and mechanicals. The 351 Windsor is not the original, and needs to be rebuilt. Also missing are the cars original VIN tags, tilt steering parts, main wiring harness under dash.
Many new parts go with the car. Items included are: A new Ford front end, gas tank, bumper, and Lucas fog lights. All of the very difficult to find Shelby pieces are included with the car.
The car is ready to be finished in original type condition or finished as a magnificent race car.
