For Sale 1976 TRIUMPH TR6

This Triumph TR6 has been completely rebuilt from one end to the other. It has undergone a body-off restoration having every part either replaced with original factory parts or rebuilt. Today this car looks as though it just rolled off the assembly line. All metal parts of the car have been "glass bead" sand blasted and refinished to their original condition. The color of this car is British Racing Green with black soft top and interior. It came equipped with a three speed electric over drive and had 57,300 miles on it prior to its restoration that was completed over a three year period. Since it's restoration the car has been driven less than 50 miles and only saw rail the day these photos were taken. According to production numbers this car was the 12th last car to be produced. The majority of the restoration of this car was completed by a gentleman originally from the UK who has over 35 years experience repairing and restoring vintage British sports cars. The owner of this car has always been a TR6 enthusiast having purchased several of these cars brand new in the mid-seventies so the attention to detail and originality is second to none.

The following is a brief description of the vehicle.

The "GOOD" and the "BAD"

* the car is virtually flawless with the exception of one scratch approximately one inch long on the rocker panel below the driver's side door {see photo}. The scratch is through the paint and into the primmer coat of the car. It has not gone through to the bare metal. The scratch resulted from trailering the car. The tow truck driver responsible for this has not been found since that day. LOL
*the factory "overdrive" badge was never attached to the rear of the car. These badges are readily available from companies like "The Roadster Factory"
*the original owners manual has been misplaced by the owner. The owner will make every effort to find it for the purchaser
* the car was rained on during the coerce of these photos {Murphy's law}. Clarification..... it was not driven in the rain and was completely dried off including the interior

The GOOD

*over 50,000 Canadian dollars was spent on this restoration
*a complete frame off restoration
*rebuilt engine, clutch, transmission, rear end. new u-joints, suspension with all new bushings and rubber factory mounts
*every piece of rubber trim has been replaced
*rebuilt speedometer, tachometer and all gauges
*new wire ring harness, rebuilt radiator, rebuilt water pump and generator with all pollution control pumps and hoses replaced
*rebuilt and polished carburetors and linkage, restored and repainted valve cover and air cleaner covers
*new walnut dash along with new crash pads, transmission tunnel gear shift knob and linkage cover
*rebuilt seat belt reels and straps
*new original "green" vulcanized radiator hoses
*all new spark plug wires and cap
*all chrome on car has been re-done by quality company as well as new factory rubber "bumperetts"
*every light bulb, lens cap and housing replaced with factory original parts i.e.: all side marker lights, front and rear signal light assemblies and front head light assemblies
*rebuilt master cylinder and brakes, new suspension including shocks, springs and rear struts
*the soft top is factory original with the zip down rear window and reflector tape. The soft top frame has been rebuilt and refinished to factory spec's. Car comes with new tongue cover to protect the entire cockpit, boot cover for the soft top and a cotton "car cover" to protect the car
*the upholstery has been professionally rebuilt for the cockpit and trunk. New seats including inner foam, springs webbing and re anodized metal seat rails. Factory original carpet is complete with factory sound deadening felt
*comes complete with 5 brand new Michelin "red line" tires, new tubes and flawless restored original wheels. All wheel accessories are new including center caps and badges, chrome lug nuts and factory new aluminum trim rings
*new, front to back exhaust system and muffler
*new side window glass and new factory spec "triplex laminated" front wind shield
*included in the trunk are the original scissor jack, hand crank and wheel trim remover that have been rebuilt
*included with the car are four booklets from the era including an original "shop manual" for home repairs {still in plastic} a factory "completion preparation manual" should you want to go vintage racing, a factory "repair operations time" manual. This will keep your mechanics honest should you ever need to repair a TR6 as it gives estimated lengths of time to repair any work on your car and lastly a manual that illustrates how to install a factory hard top should you want to purchase one.

This car is located in Chilliwack British Columbia a very short drive from the Canada/US boarder
