After a 3 year search for a solid steel body, a great deal of time and detail was taken to ensure the end result was a car second to none. The brilliant multi-coated Red PPG paint was applied to car when disassembled, then put together and buffed to an award winning mirror finish.
Beautiful tan leather covers the entire inside of the car from roof to floor including leather covered integrated roll cage. Power windows. An original steel dash modified to accommodate V.D.O. gauges and old style four speaker radio. Also a glove box that opens to reveal M.S.D. programmable ignition. Dash painted in base clear coat to match car. Chrome tilt steering column with billet steering wheel that matches rims, complete the package. Trunk is also covered in tan leather.
In order for this car to compete at the highest level and be displayed above mirrors, this custom built tube chassis has had all welds smoothed and painted in base and clear coats making it as dynamic as the rest of the car. Every bolt and nut is polished stainless cap screws. The rest of the undercarriage is chrome or polished aluminum including break lines, drive shaft, 4 link suspension coil covers, mustang II front end, 19 gallon fuel tank and electric fuel pump.
To put the power to the road, is a custom built turbo 400 transmission with a 2600 stall converter. A smoothed 12 bolt Chevy rear-end housing, custom made strange axles and custom ordered billet aluminum wheels hold 26 x 7.5 x 15 Mickey Thompson Sportsman front tires and 33 x 21 x 15 Mickey Thompson Sportsman Street rear tires.
The car is powered by an 500 horsepower Chev 502 CI motor. A mild cam was added to accommodate two 650 CM Edelbrock carbs, painted to match car and covered in chrome and polished aluminum, including a polished 3 inch core aluminum rad and two electric fans. Exhaust is 4 inch ceramic coated pipes behind a set of full tuned ceramic headers.
